does anyone have a degree from the university of Phoenix online program?

I am looking for some info on the university of Phoenix online courses are the GED programs a scam and does anyone have a degree from there?

Why would you want to choose University of Phoenix online? While they are an accredited university, their tuition fees are very high compared to other online universities/colleges, and they do not have the best reputation because of their focus on profit rather than quality education.

Keep looking, there are lower cost and more reputable online colleges for you to choose from.

Also, they do no offer GED programs – as far as I am aware – this is high school level.

Help! Can anyone tell me of any community colleges that offer an online AAS Nursing degree program?

looking for an online community college that offers an AAS Nursing degree program that will allow me to stay home with my family and graduate as a nurse. I live in California so if there is anything here in this state that would be great but any info about this type of program I am looking is much appreciated.

I can’t tell you a specific community college because I don’t know where you live in CA. However, go to

www.collegeboard.com

and go to College Search. Then you can set preferences to search for state colleges with nursing programs.

Actually, here is a whole list that I found

Is a Kaplan University degree recognized by employers?

If you have ever had any experience with Kaplan or an online institution, or if you know someone who has I just want to know how likley a graduate of the online institutions are to get a job

I have worked admissions for colleges and the answer is "it depends". If your job requires a certification, like CPA for example, then there’s a good chance an online program isn’t worth it. However, if the school is accredited in the field of training then you have a better chance.
The best thing to do is ask the Admissions Rep. They have to tell you what certifications you will qualify for, not what you will "potentially" qualify for. Make sense? Also, colleges have to keep up with hire rates per program. Nicely demand to see proof of hire rates for the program you’re looking into taking.

But it has been my experience that most employers are looking for someone who has a solid work ethic. If you can show them that you did get solid, current training, that you maintained a high GPA, and a strong attendance record then you can probably land a job with no problem. Think about it, you will have shown them your a hard worker, will give an above average performance, and that you’ll show up. Most will jump to interview you.

One final note, check what their career service placement is like. Most colleges now offer lifetime career service assistance and that can be handy if 5yrs down the road your job is phased out or the place burns down or….

I hope this helps!

Can anyone suggest a good online degree program?

I want to get my paralegal degree online. Can anyone suggest a good school? There are so many out there and I want to use a reputable and accredited school.

This site has some information on regionally accredited online colleges offering paralegal degrees:

http://www.ecollegefinder.org/online-paralegal-degree-education.aspx

I would definitely make sure that any college you are considering is regionally accredited and that you contact a number of schools. Too often people choose to enroll in the first online college they find rather than contacting a number of schools to find the best fit. The beauty of getting a degree online is that your school choice is not limited by geography.
