Is Kaplan University seen in the Professional world as an Accredited college even though it is an Online U?

I was told that some online universities are not taken seriously or seen as a "real" form of higher education. However, I have heard nothing but great things with Kaplan University. I am interested in taking classes towards a Social Work degree and would like to have some opinions from employers. Thank you in advance:)

Its not a bad school for nursing if you can’t get into any other college or can’t hack it elsewhere.

The University’s School of Nursing was awarded a national professional accreditation for its Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in April 2006 from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).

Other then that though, no. This is not a college well recognized in the professional sense.
