are online schools worth doing like university of phoenix and kaplan university ( online) good or any online?
I AM TRYING TO GET A DEGREE AND AND DONT WANT TO GET IN DEBT FOR NOTHING
I received my MBA from UOP. It has caused me no problems and has given me the credentials I need. It is a good school. However, here are things to consider.
The business school is only regionally accredited. If you believe you can pass a GMAT then go to another online school like Stanford. However, if you do not think you need the AASCB ( I hope the acronym is right), then UOP will be fine.
If you are over 22 and need a BA, I suggest you go to night school and a local traditional college which offers adult accelerated courses.
If you already have a BA from a traditional school and have a good work background, then a graduate diploma from UOP can really help you. In addition, if your town has a UOP campus, then that will help too.
I mention all of the above because those are things to consider before taking courses from for-profit schools like UOP or Kaplan. It depends on what you want in the outcome. For instance, some people need prestige and some people just need the degree. I just needed the degree and the knowledge. UOP gave me both. I hope this helps.
My sis is going to university of phoenix for a doctrine (she needs to be there 2 weeks a year and the rest is online) She is a teacher now and the school she is at is fine with the Univ of Phoenix degree so it must be good

I used to work for admissions at a university and I know that anybody with an undergraduate degree from Phoenix had problems with being admitted for graduate school. If I remember correctly, it was a problem with not being accredited or being accredited by an unrecognized organization. I can’t speak for Kaplan b/c I didn’t encounter any applicants who had taken courses through them, but whatever online university you decide to attend, make sure it’s accredited through the proper channels, or the degree is about as worth the paper it’s printed on.

Check out a potential employer through their human resources department for your major and see if they accept an online school. For example, if you want to be an accountant, call the human resources department of the big accounting firms.
As the other answerers say, some places accept online schools and some don’t.

If you are talking about undergrad. probably not. However, I do know that most state education dept. will accept classes from U of P for continuing ed. If you are talking about grad school, and you are a teacher, check with your state dept of ed.
