Even though I have no certifications in any nursing only experience from in home caregiving, is it possible to get a complete masters or just an Rn degree online? with no prior certifications

Not completely online; you need to do science labs and clinicals in person. Some online programs arrange for you to do this at local universities; if they don’t, they’re almost certainly not accredited.

I should hope not -unless you still needed to do a practical term before fully qualifying. I would hate to be injected or examined by someone who only knew in theory what they were doing.

Hello, I am currently looking into finishing college online. I am looking into this because I am basically a "military" girlfriend. Except my boyfriend does pipeline, but we move every month or two, all over the United States, so staying in one spot is never an option. This is why I have chose to look into Online schooling. I want to become a nurse, and am curious the best school (I am currently looking into University Of Phoenix), I have chatted with a counselor from there but he didn’t help answer any questions I had.

I need to know if anyone has done this, I am worried about a hospital thinking an online degree is not as creditable as an actual in class education. Also, if you can answer any of my other questions, that’d be great.

- Average Cost of the RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree
– Do I already have to be an RN to do that??
- Length of it
– Can you go at your own pace?

Anything else you think I might need to know would be great. Thanks ;]

I’ll be honest – don’t use U of Phoenix. Any school that is "for profit" is not motivated by producing good student but rather making money. Similar schools are ITT Tech, DeVries, etc. Stay away from them all.

Your best bet is to find a regular college and see if they have online classes. For example, look at UCLA and see if they offer online degrees. That way you get a degree from a reputable school and potential employers will appreciate that more than something from U of Phoenix.
